Aloe Vera Juice Drink — “A Wonderful Drink For Good Health!”
That’s a doctor’s description of Forever’s bestseller Aloe Vera Juice pictured here — their new Aloe Vera Gel.
Until recently (and for around 40 years!) it looked like this:
I’m just mentioning it so that for clarity’s sake we know it’s the same Forever aloe drink, with even purer format and different packaging. And after all these years, this Aloe Vera Gel is still a Forever Living bestseller!
Why is that?
I’ll venture a guess that it is not because of its taste, although the flavour becomes more and more palatable over time. At least, that’s been my finding — and I’ve been drinking the gel daily for over 20 years.
Don’t get me wrong — I’m not suggesting it takes that long to adjust to the taste! Quite early on, as I felt better and better from taking it, I saw Forever’s Aloe Vera Gel as my very welcome morning cocktail.
So why did I feel better?
Let’s refer back to Dr Peter Atherton, MB ChB, DObst, RCOG, FRCGP, who described it as a wonderful drink for good health and look at his Top 10 Reasons for drinking it.
In these worrying days of a global pandemic, I find my attention especially drawn to reason № 8.

In his excellent book The Essential Aloe Vera, Dr Atherton gives this quote from Mahatma Gandhi:
“You ask me what were the secret forces which sustained me during my long fasts. Well, it was my unshakable faith in God, my simple and frugal life style, and the Aloe whose benefits I discovered upon my arrival in South Africa at the end of the 19th century.”
He also lists how the ‘true’ Aloe (the Aloe Barbadensis Miller that Forever Living grow and harvest on their extensive plantations) has over the years, in various parts of the world, been described very effectively in accordance with people’s discoveries.

Quite recently Forever introduced the concept of Tripaks for their Aloe Vera Gel, Forever Aloe Berry Nectar and Forever Aloe Peaches.
This is a convenient way to buy drinks as it brings you 3 litres (or 6, or 9 etc) in a single delivery — ideal, when the recommended daily dose is 60–120 mls!

Do you agree that in terms of versatility it speaks for itself? I’m very far from alone in loving it, plus the fact that it comes in a box of 12, so that when you have one in your fridge, hand, or rucksack, you still have some in your cupboard!
